Quiz Nights
Quiz nights take place monthly on a Saturday and each one is run by a different quizmaster.
There are usually about six rounds on a range of subjects. There is a maximum of four people per team at a cost is £3 per person including supper at the end of the quiz..
The Quiz starts at 8pm but it's a good idea to arrive early to get settled, grab a drink and think of a suitable team name

The annual Ready, Steady Cook event to place at the Kings Head on Saturday 14th August with four village "Chefs" having to produce a three course BBQ meal for two people within 90 minutes. The chefs were, Tony McDonald, Ian Castledine, Gerry Roberts and the Leicester Tigers player Geoff Parling.
Food
The pub offers lunch time meals between 12pm and 2pm Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday lunches from noon until 2.30pm. Typical lunch time offerings include:

- Fish and Chips
- Scampi and Chips
- Steak and Kidney Pie
- Braised Streak
- Roast Lamb, Beef or Pork
- Ham Egg and Chips
- Cream Cheese & Broccoli Bake
